Steven was nine years old when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in February 2011. His knee was amputated in a procedure known as Van Ness Rotationplasty. He is determined to beat cancer.
We just got word that the surgeon is closing Steven up. He will be here shortly to give us a report. He was stable throughout the surgery, everything we have heard so far is positive. We will keep you updated as we get more info.
This was the longest day ever, just knowing that Steven was STILL in surgery. Can't imagine what it must have been like for you all. We're glad to hear good things.
Thanks for keeping us updated on Steven's condition. We have been thinking about all of you today and praying for Steven and his surgeon and surgical team. It sounds like everything went well. We are so grateful!!
Keep the positive comin!!! Way to go Steven!
