Steven was nine years old when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in February 2011. His knee was amputated in a procedure known as Van Ness Rotationplasty. He is determined to beat cancer.

Spotlight on Steven
I feel like I need to share a little bit about who Steven is. I know most of you who read this know Rob or me mostly and not our cancer star here. ReplyDeleteHe is such a brilliant thing. I love that he beat all the 6th graders in the school at chess. And the fact that your school has the gifted kids makes it better. I can't wait to see what you do with all those brains Steven!

ReplyDeleteI love it! Somehow I'm not surprised at the amazing person that Steven is becoming. You could see it from when he was super young. We miss you guys all the time, think about you all the time, and we are constantly checking the blog to keep close to you. Thank you SO much for all of your posts. We love you!!!
