Home sweet home
We are home from round one of chemo! There was some question if we could come home because Steven has been running a slight temperature. When he caught wind of that possibility, he was pretty bummed. All morning he has been asking me "When do I get to go home?" We got home a few hours ago and he got to take a shower. He sat on the heater vent--one of his favorite places. He's sitting on his chair and feeling much better being unhooked from his IV and wrapped in his own blanket. It feels so good for me to be home with my other kids--I've missed them.

ReplyDeleteSo glad! Hope you guys can stay there for a while.
ReplyDeleteHurray! Round one behind you. You are in our prayers every single day. We are counting the days until we can come and see you guys.
ReplyDeleteWon't they let you take your own blanket with you for your hospital stays? I bet those kids missed both you and their big brother. :-)
ReplyDeleteeveryday you get under your belt is a step ahead! SO wonderful to be home..
ReplyDeleteI am so glad he is home. A prayer is not offered in our home without asking a blessing to be with Steven and your family. We love you! I have been sick and it has passed through all the kids, so we have really stayed away. When I am certain that the germs are gone from our home, I would love to be of help in absolutely anyway that I can. Please let me know if I can ever help with anything!
ReplyDeleteYay for being home! I hope you get to go to school sometime this week!
ReplyDeleteWe hope he gets feeling better!
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping him in our prayers... and you too! Gloria says to tell him that she hopes he gets better fast.
